Rolling ladders, mobile work platforms and crossovers
These are the mobile access units a warehouse or plant actually buys: a rolling work platform with a full standing deck and handrails rather than a leaning ladder, a tank top platform for reaching over an obstruction at a set or adjustable height, and a stair set or crossover for getting a walking route over pipe, conveyor or a machine base.
How to pick one. Rolling work platforms are sized by step count, which sets the platform height, and by base width - 33 in or 38 in on the double entry units here. Count the steps to the working height you need and take the wider base if the deck will carry a person plus tooling. Tank top platforms are chosen by the height range they cover, from a non-adjustable model up to units adjustable through the 7 ft to 15 ft band. Crossovers and stair sets are chosen by step count and overall width, and by tread type - serrated grating or expanded metal.
