Roll formers for duct and sheet metal shops

A roll former puts a profile into flat stock by running it through a train of driven rolls, and in a duct or fab shop that means the seam and connector work: Pittsburgh lock, S&Drive, drive cleat, button lock, TDP and hem & kick. The machines on this page cover that range from a single 20 or 24 gauge Pittsburgh machine up to a fourplex S&Drive with a slitter attachment and a TDP former with clip rolls.

How to pick one. Start with the gauge you run - 24 ga, 20 ga or 16 ga - because that sets the machine class and most of the price. Then decide which profiles you need in one pass: a single profile machine is cheaper, a fourplex or a combination former does several at once and pays back on volume. Pittsburgh machines can be ordered with a choice of opposing rolls or with a flanging attachment; ask before you order if you want both operations on one machine.
